Young Sam Kim was born in 1984 in Seoul, South Korea. He worked as a photo assistant before moving to Berlin in 2007. In Berlin he enrolled at the UdK in the class of Visual Systems in 2010. As a student at the UdK Sams suggestion for “Rundgang” poster was selected as the official poster in 2014. During his time as a student, Sam has also worked for Designtransfer Gallery as a graphic designer from 2013-2016, as well as interning at Heimann + Schwantes in 2014 for a period of three months.

Since 2014 Sam has worked as a freelance graphic designer doing projects for private clients as well as institutions. To be able to offer a full-service to clients he founded JungFeldt in late 2015 with Emil whom shares the same goals and ambition for quality.
